Tania Zolty and Jeff Kellner came to meet in Marseilles (France)…

Tania Zolty, a Canadian singer, presently living in France after studying psychology,& voice at the Conservatory, pursues her career as a singer in many different styles, ranging from folk to the most contemporary music. Toured with different musical projects. She has also become a voice trainer mostly for professionals. Her vocal coaching activity is within the framework of her association "Bodynvoice".

Jeff Kellner, began his career as a professional musician in the 80's, he became involved with great African artists, and toured for 30 years with well known names within this world of music (Toure Kunda, Salif Keita, Tony Allen, Souad Massi ... ). At the same time Jeff performed as a sideman with multi-cultural artists such as Philippe Léotard, Carole Laure, Jacques Higelin and Bob Sinclar.

Tania, and Jeff are part of the “Modjo Project” which Tania introduced to Marseille 2013 (an inspiration from her native city Montreal, Quebec). Once a month the participants, amateurs and professionals come with a text that they want to put to music. Musicians then collaborate in order to accompany them and 3 days later, a concert is organized around this performance.

To enhance the “Modjo” experience, Tania and Jeff invited Fred Accart aka "Mister Frac" who is very polyvolant, to join them in the adventure, sharing his mulptiple talents, as a bassist, machinist, working with Abelton live and the kaos. Fred is also a musical therapist within a psychiatric hospital in Marseille.

In 2015, the three musicians decided to build a musical project, MEiC Mother Earth is crying. Naturally, the MEiC project was born, starting from a folk root, and proposes to explore different musical influences, lyrics referring to the greater questions of our time, questions the resonate within us all, hunger, Fear, exile, the destruction of our planet, the search for oneself... Through this opening to the world and it’s music, MEiC defends non-violence and Sharing in Music, enabling everyone to find each other and thus find others. Tania Zolty and Jeff Kellner offer their workshops around the opening to music by melody and rhythm that are open to all.
